When Taylor Forge Engineered Systems set out to transform their facilities, they had clear goals in mind: to elevate their industrial spaces into environments that inspire collaboration, boost employee satisfaction, and reflect a high level of professionalism. They turned to SPACESINC to help make their vision a reality, encompassing two buildings, a manufacturing office and learning center, and an outdoor pavilion. Taylor Forge’s operations may be industrial, but their aspirations for their internal spaces were anything but that. “When we set out to do the manufacturing building, the learning center, and the pavilion, we really wanted to change the image of what those facilities were going to look like,” said Rick Pysher, President of Taylor Forge Engineered Systems. “We wanted to get away from the pure industrial look.” Their vision was clear: create environments that energize the team and foster a unified company culture while maintaining the durability and flexibility needed for daily use.
SPACESINC’s expertise played a critical role. “In the past, our facilities have turned out nice, but we wanted to take it to the next level,” Pysher explained. The team worked collaboratively to select furniture, finishes, and layouts that seamlessly balanced form and function. The result was spaces that not only served operational needs but also inspired pride among employees and impressed visitors.
Intentional design choices by SPACESINC reflected Taylor Forge’s commitment to its people. “It instilled a sense within the culture of the organization that we valued our employees,” Pysher noted. “And we would continue to invest in facilities and equipment to continue to strengthen the employee base and organization itself.” From flexible seating arrangements to thoughtful color palettes, every detail was carefully chosen to prioritize employee satisfaction and productivity.
"The outcome was really phenomenal from the consistency between the buildings to the general selections of furniture and colors to the general layouts.” This project demonstrates how intentional design can redefine what a “manufacturing facility” looks like, setting new standards for the industry. Taylor Forge’s new spaces not only attract fresh talent but also communicate their professionalism to clients and visitors alike. Taylor Forge Engineered Systems proves that great design is more than aesthetic; it’s a strategic advantage.
