The long awaited commercial design trade show, NeoCon 2016, which will be held in Chicago June 13-15, 2016 is right around the corner, promising innovative designs that will further modernize the space planning and architectural industry. The annual event brings in more than 50,000 design professionals to showcase work and educate audiences from around the globe.
This year’s theme, “Design That Works,” will focus on the full potential of a truly good design and will be punctuated by a diverse group of keynote speakers with expertise across many mediums and verticals.
Among the keynote speakers is David Rockwell, founder and president of Rockwell Group. The New York-based architecture and design firm is known for pioneering modern hospitality design and furnishings, and for its work in residential, theatrical and festival design. Its commercial collection Rockwell Unscripted is a nod to the unpredictability of an average work day, catering to the spontaneous needs of an office space.
The collection will be unveiled by Knoll, a company that has always been on the front line of design innovation. Benjamin Pardo, director of design at Knoll, commented, “The collection is very much open to what people will do with it. It’s truly an invitation for workplace designers and their clients to personalize their own space.”
The trade show will be located at the Merchandise Mart, spread across 1 million square feet of exhibition space. For three days, designers, architects, space planners, buyers and sellers will gather at the premier event for commercial design. If you are interested in attending the trade show, register today.
