To support the entrepreneurial spirit of Living Lab, Spaces, Inc. created several collaborative work areas to enhance group interaction by integrating technology, mobile writing surfaces, tables, soft seating and storage. Spaces utilized Knoll, Knoll Studio, JSI, EKO, ERG, Aceray and Holmris products as part of it’s design that will be tested and evaluated by a segment of the Sprint employee group.

By partnering with real estate giant CBRE and the architectural firm GastingerWalker&, Spaces was able to help the client test different furniture applications to support a more open, flexible and energy-filled workspace. Based on the success of this project, Spaces will have the opportunity to provide furniture for projects that help transition existing buildings in the near future.

Formed by a partnership between Sprint, Think Big Partners, Cisco and Kansas City, the Living Lab collects data from the network of sensors, cameras and kiosks along the KC Streetcar route. Entrepreneurs can then use that data to develop apps, goods and services for businesses. Sprint, headquartered in the Kansas City metro, is one of the nation’s largest wireless networks. It often works closely with KC Streetcar on local projects. As part of its agreement with the streetcar system, Sprint built a Wi-Fi network along the two-mile route to provide services for its customers.
